Do Not Wait Too Long Before Selling Blacklisted Ips

When you are sitting on IPV4 addresses, with some of them possibly being blacklisted, you may want to procrastinate before selling them. However, the window might be closing on your opportunities to sell ip address for great profit off of your unused IPV4 addresses both because of the adoption of IPV6 and the general laws of supply and demand. Also, it is possible to have your IP addresses removed from the blacklist.

Why You Should Not Wait Too Long

If you own a large number of IPV4 addresses, do not sit on them for too long. While these addresses follow the same laws of supply and demand and will become more profitable to sell as the supply dwindles, there will eventually come a time when IPV6 has been adequately deployed and we will eventually have an IPV6-only Internet. It is possible for IPV6 addresses to soar overnight and for the IPV4 addresses to be left with very little value.

The Process Of Removing IPs From Blacklists

It is possible that some of the IP addresses you own will be on a blacklist and it is a good idea to have them removed. Blacklisting occurs when an IP address is used for spamming or other malicious activities. Different databases have different criteria for what will lead to an IP address being blacklisted. There might simply be a mail-server configuration issue. In some cases, an IP might be blacklisted because it is from a particular country.

However, there are also evidence-based listing services that will blacklist IP addresses based on the frequent sending of unsolicited emails. Once you have determined why you have been blacklisted, you can begin taking the steps necessary to be removed from the blacklist. It is possible that the IP addresses were added to the blacklist because one of the connected devices had a virus. There might have been an insecure router. A router or a connected device may not have had a secure password.

Follow The Process Of Removing The Blacklist

Find out what the removal process is for blacklisted IP addresses. In some cases, they are removed automatically after a time period has passed. In other cases, there is a manual process you will need to go through in order to have your IP addresses removed. But once they are removed, they will be more valuable on the IP market and you will be able to generate a greater profit more quickly.
